The client requirement

When Champers Hampers started as an online shop, their key objectives were a high quality design to match their products, display the four product areas available and be extremely user-friendly throughout the purchase and sale process.  Ongoing maintenance had to be quick and easy.  Finally, the website had to rank very well with selected keywords, as it was anticipated that this would be the number one source of visitors.

The NZ Internet Services solution

A homepage with a paragraph both introduces the visitor to the business and includes many of the keywords for search engines.  The four categories of hampers are clearly displayed, with brief information and a photo for each and linked to that product area.  A slideshow of product images completes the picture.

The biggest point of difference is the ability for visitors to compile their own Christmas hamper with products available, meaning they get exactly what they want.

Once contents are compiled into a cart, freight is automatically calculated using the total price and location and orders are securely completed using DPS.

The website was fully optimised for and registered with search engines and an ongoing maintenance programme keeps the website very highly ranked.

The results

Champers Hampers has grown in year-upon-year, the website being the hub behind all sales. Product maintenance has been seamless.  Best of all, positive feedback from customers with a huge amount of repeat business means that the cart system is working well, with orders increasing all the time.
